A little bit about Apple iPhone past
May 6, 2008
To attract a following with a substantial crowd Apple iPhones have always produced top of the range products for the consumer. Even before the Apple iPhone was released in 2007 people were guessing its features, about its functions and specifications generally. It is no surprise when the Apple iPhone was released that it emphasizes a iPod with a revolutionary mobile phone with three in one product with an internet device.
The Beginnings
When you take a look at the first documented Past of the Apple iPhone it starts with the instruction of Steve Jobbs, CEO of Apple to his engineers to investigate the possibility of a touch screen. With the expectation of an Apple Tablet PC in mind at that time. But in 2003 to the surprise of his audiences in a conference he announced that the development of the conventional PDA’s or the tablet was not Apples goal.
New innovations perhaps lie in the realm of cell phones, and thus, technologies, connected to them should be improved upon. The appearance of the new product, Apple iPhone was announced in January, 2007 at the MacWorld Expo with a release date for 2007 June. It is also declared in a later conference that Apple iPhone will support third parties creating Web 2.0 applications and users will be able to access these on the internet.
Launch and future Upgrades
In the United States on 29 June 2007 people rushed to the shops and queued out side to be the first to be the owners of the Apple iPhones when it finally was released for sale. The first Apple iPhones to be released were 4GB flash drive and 8GB flash drive, the price ranged between $499 and $599. But because the demand for the preferred model the 8GB outstripped the 4GB greatly, the 4GB was finally discontinued.
When the price of the Apple iPhone suddenly dropped, as early as September by as much as $200. The popularity of the Apple iPhone was short lived. This attracted a lot of criticism towards Apple as it was thought the sudden drop in price to be unreasonable.
The above is believed to be true as, In the first weekend only 145,000 activations were recorded when the anticipated sales were expected in the range of 200,000 and 700,000.
When the new Apple iPhone was first released the only contracts available to the applicants was a 2 year subscription with AT&T, this offer was unsuitable for everyone. The introduction of a new 300 page bill and the extensive coverage by the media which forced AT&T to make changes to its billing procedures.
When Apple iPhone was finally launched in Europe by the end of 2007. In Germany, the United Kingdom and France it faced difficulties because the iPhone was offered to its customers through only one specific company.
