What Would Go Best With Broadway Performances And Weddings
December 3, 2007
For any kind of Broadway, musical or ballet performance, I would recommend your best semi-formal clothing. If you wear pants, make sure they are wide-legged and drapery (like palazzo pants) made of a high-quality material and paired with a lovely, pretty blouse that has formal details. Think of what you might wear to an evening wedding and you’ll be on the right track. Personally, I would go with a skirt or dress. Have fun shopping, maybe take a friend with you, and use this as a chance to... Read more »

If you found your way here, you probably already knew everything about uniforms except for these odd facts: Why is the US Surgeon General always in a military uniform? This is because the organization of which she is the chief, the U.S. Public Health Service (PHS), is a uniformed service. You might be thinking, so are mail carriers, but the postmaster general doesn’t get to wear one. The difference is that the PHS began as the Marine Hospital Service, which was organized after a military fashion... Read more »

Engagement Diamond Ring
December 3, 2007
Honesty is the best policy, as long as your fiance know this and she is alright with this then goes ahead. I find it really strange that a clarity enhanced diamond could be graded a VS 2 that is not possible! The diamond should still have a cert! That’s my first concern. Diamonds have grading certificates for a reason, YOUR PROTECTION! Accuracy is important to the beauty and value of your gemstone. Usually to bother enhancing a stone the clarity or inclusions have to be pretty visible. Thus... Read more »
Clothing Can Play Tricks
December 3, 2007
Sounds like you are on the right track in terms of health care and an exercise program and that’s terrific. Your question is complicated so I’m going to start at the top…literally! To make shoulders look wider, we play some visual tricks. Blouses with lapels are great…leaving the top 2 or 3 buttons open and spread the collar/lapels out. The points of the collar draw the eye outward. Very slight padding in the shoulders of the blouse will also help. Tops with shoulder... Read more »

Your inclination is absolutely correct - suits are the safest way to go. Pant suits are perfectly accepted for women today as well. Typically, these professionals were noted for their solid white dresses, starched white caps and white uniform shoes; crisp and no-nonsense, and all nurses met the bar of conformity. Whether it was the country nurse who made rounds with the doctor or the nurse in the largest city hospitals tending to the citizens of the metropolis, white was the recognized color and there were few... Me and my husband going to my friends wedding and I am wearing an oriental style dress that is in a champagne/gold color. The Chinese are big into silver, jade (a semi-precious stone which is usually a light, translucent green, but does come in other colors) and turquoise (another semi=precious stone which is a vivid opaque blue and usually marbled with white and/or black veins). Because your gown is gold I would recommend sticking with gold jeweler. If your dress is adorned with a beautiful pattern... Read more »
Tips For People That Want A New Look
December 3, 2007
I’ve come up with a few things that will help you add a bit of edge to your style. I’d advice having a look through these ideas, picking just one or two and then adding more if you still feel a bit lacking. Firstly, a haircut and possibly a color as well is a great starting point. Find a half-decent salon - it doesn’t have to be one of those salons that cost you an arm or leg, but the more up market places tend to have stylists skilled in helping people find their best style. Consider... Read more »
