Online Sports Betting Secrets: Bet Against Lousy Teams!
December 3, 2007
Sports betting experts often make their picks by betting against a certain team, instead of necessarily betting for the team they think is going to win. In other words, sometimes when you know a team is terrible, you can make money sports betting just by betting against the terrible team. Here’s a perfect example. Take a look at my analysis of the Southern Miss vs. Memphis NCAA college football game: Southern Miss -7 at Memphis This game matches up Southern Miss, 4-4 SU, against a very bad Memphis team that’s gone 1-7 this... December 3, 2007
A popular dating and matchmaking trend is upon us. It is called speed dating. Naturally, it has found a new home on the internet. But what exactly is it and how does it work? Speed dating origins is credited to a Jewish Rabbi Yaacov Deyo, who is said to have invented it as way Jewish people meet in areas where they were outnumbered by non-Jews. I not sure the Rabbi anticipated such a huge growth in his creation. But that’s a different subject. So, what is speed dating? Well, as the name suggests, speed dating is process or event for men and women meet in great numbers for the purpose... Read more »
How To Word Your Invitation When Asking Guest To Pay Their Way
December 3, 2007
That would be a “no host” dinner. You could offer appetizers, soft drinks, wine or beer and then have guests pay for their main dinner. Throw in cake or dessert as the host. Depending upon the amount of people and how close these people are to you could just call them. So you would say, “We are organizing a party for John at La Casita Restaurant, Wednesday, October 14 at 6 p.m. 6-7 Cocktail hour (Appetizers served) 7-9 No Host Dinner 9-1 Celebratory Dessert Call to let us know: Something like that…If you are not providing anything like appetizers and dessert I would not call it an invitation. The word Invitation denotes that the host is treating to something. That sort of gathering... Read more »
The Uniform’s Place in Society
December 3, 2007
Humorist Steven Wright has asked, “What do you suppose George Washington did? If anybody asked to see his ID, did he just whip out a quarter?” But I think his uniform alone would have sufficed. Somewhere in a circle of prehistoric cave folk, one tribe organized itself enough to… well… to be a tribe. And whatever the tribe did to get by, be it pick fruit or hunt mammoths, one tribesman proved to be better at it than any other and became the leader. So the tribe saw that they did better with this person in charge,... Read more »
Ideas For Your Fortieth Birthday Bash
December 3, 2007
If you’ve known him/her for so long and you are stranded for an idea, I should say that I′m somewhat at a loss as to what to suggest you. But the benefit here is that you really do know this person very well. Try to think if you know of anything that they would like to have, and perhaps get them that. I don’t think it has to be anything extra big or extra expensive, as long as you know that this is something they really want. Also, since you’ve known them for so long, you can probably guess whether he/she wants this to be a big celebration in the first place. Some people like to meet their fortieth birthday with a huge... Beretta 92FS 9mm Vs Colt 45 Handgun Comparison
December 3, 2007
It is pretty much a simple little survey of sorts. We currently have the ̋ (Beretta 92FS 9mm) as the standard issue side arm for most military MOS’s. I am just curious if there is anyone else out there that feels the 9mm is a piece of garbage and we should go back to the .45? No studies were done, no one’s opinion was asked, the change was simply done. No military member I have asked would take a 9mm over a .45. Many people I talked to owe their lives to the .45. I’ve also heard that .45s are like gold over in Iraq, as soldiers there are trying to get their hands on one because the 92F doesn’t... Read more »
Dating For the Single Parent
December 3, 2007
Dating can be a complex and stressful issue for the single parent. For starters you don’t have much time. Many a single parent has had to learn to be a juggler between children, work, school, custody schedules and financial issues. Then there are the kids, who may feel left out, having to compete for mom’s or dad’s attention. Kids of opposite sex to the parent who are close to her/him may tend be overprotective, a potentially volatile situation especially in case of mom and son. Emotional drain that comes through child rearing can also take its toll. The energy to go out to meet people might not even be there. We adults can sometimes act irrationally too. Admitting that one is jealous... Read more »
