Dangers of Inattentive Cellular Phone Use
December 3, 2007
When people are talking on a mobile phone, they’re often paying less attention than they should to what’s going on around them. This can be dangerous in certain situations, such as around building sites or — particularly — when driving a car. One extreme case, which came to light on the international press wire services this summer, told of a man picked up while driving in the Israeli town of Netanya with a mobile phone glued to each ear. The man had become so engrossed in his conversations that he had taken to steering with his elbows — and was flagged down by a policewoman who had noticed his car weaving treacherously... Read more »
Thoughts On The Motorola Krazr By A User
December 3, 2007
I recently purchased the Motorola Krazr, which is in reality the Motorola Krzr K1m. I have seen hundreds of reviews about the model. Everyone is leaving his or her opinions, but no one has used the phone! I actually have the Krzr, so I’ve created this review. Thus far, it’s the only one I’ve seen that gives you anything more than specifications and features. The exact model that I purchased was the Motorola Krzr K1m, for Verizon Wireless. This information is important because there is another model, the Krzr K1. The K1 was released with Cingular, and could be quite different. My first reaction is that the model feels like it was really well made. The phone is heavier than the Razr v3c that I had before. It doesn’t feel too heavy though; it just feels like it was put together... Read more »

Don’t be fooled by these network protocols. There are several ways to get ring tones unto those phones. Firstly; you can purchase the data cable and the software (Mobile Phone Tools) for the phone. You can get this at any phone outlet or even online. With this you can then create and transfer images, wallpapers, movies and mp3 ring tones to and from the phone. Secondly; you can purchase the Bluetooth Dongle (USB Adapter), and then use this to transfer your images and ring tones from your PC to your phone and vice-versa. Bluetooth in New Model Vehicles
December 3, 2007
The cars that are now coming equipped with Bluetooth allow you to have a Bluetooth connection between your wireless phone and your car (through the phone and car’s Bluetooth connection). If by any chance, you have a compatible phone (and are on a compatible wireless network - that is, compatible with the car), you can use the car’s console to dial your phone, access your address book, make and receive calls, etc. You won’t even need a Bluetooth headset in order to use the car’s features, but you do, however, need a compatible phone. So, keep that in mind. Here is an example from Audi: Your Audi vehicle may be equipped with a phone preparation utilizing a Bluetooth interface to enable hands-free functionality... Read more »
Ideas On Plans And Prepaid Phones
December 3, 2007
Most of the major providers have prepaid plans that allow you to put a certain dollar amount (say, $100.00) onto a pre-paid plan and then you just use it when you need it. I would suggest the plan where the minutes do not expire within 30 days, so that she doesn′t have to worry about it. For example, Some companies have a plan where you can put money on your account and then you just pay $1.00 each day you use your phone and $.10 a minute. With with kind of plan, if you put on $15, it’s only good for 30 days and then it expires, however, if you put $100.00 on the account, then it is good for 365 days. Your mom would not have... Internal Vs. External Antennas on Cell Phones
December 3, 2007
Here are some thoughts about internal and external antennas on cell phones. Is it true that external antennas picks up and holds a signal better than internal antennas? I was just wondering about the signal strength and quality in the phone, that’s about it. Well, the thing is that technology has come thus far that we no longer require the age-old antennas that the old Nokia′s used before. An internal antenna would work just as fine as an external antenna, which however means that you are purchasing a good model phone and... Read more »
Social Impacts The Telephone And The Cell Phone Has Had On Society

Camera Phones And How to Download
December 3, 2007
A pixel is a single point in a graphic image. The more pixels used to represent an image, the closer the result can resemble the original. The number of pixels in an image is sometimes called the resolution, though resolution has a more specific definition. Pixel counts can be expressed as a single number, as in a “three-megapixel″ digital camera, which has a nominal three million pixels. A megapixel is 1 million pixels, and is used not only for the number of pixels in an image, but also often to express the number of sensor elements of digital cameras. For example, a camera with an array of 2048 x 1536 sensor elements is commonly said to have “3.1 megapixels” (2048 x 1536 = 3,145,728). Thus the more Megapixels;... Read more »

No Cellular Phone Customer Service
December 3, 2007
Last month I helped somebody with an almost identical problem - no customer service, no reception on the line, etc., and it worked out ok. What we did was to contact the consumer division of the state’s attorney general’s office and made a complaint. Within a month, not only did the company (I think it was T-Cell or something like that, T - something, anyway) call to state that they were going to cancelling the debt, but they (the company) got in touch with the credit reporting bureaus and removed any negatives. I don’t blame you for being... Read more »
