No Cellular Phone Customer Service
December 3, 2007
Last month I helped somebody with an almost identical problem - no customer service, no reception on the line, etc., and it worked out ok. What we did was to contact the consumer division of the state’s attorney general’s office and made a complaint. Within a month, not only did the company (I think it was T-Cell or something like that, T - something, anyway) call to state that they were going to cancelling the debt, but they (the company) got in touch with the credit reporting bureaus... Cell Phone Companies With Prepaid Cell Phone Plans
December 3, 2007
Here is some advice about prepaid cellular phones and how you can go about choosing the perfect company for you and/or your family. Below is some information about cell phone companies that provide prepaid phone plans. Most of the major providers have prepaid plans that allow you to put a certain dollar amount (for example, $50.00 or even $100.00) onto a pre-paid plan and then you just use it when you need it. I would suggest the plan where the minutes do not expire within 30 days, that way you... Read more »
Fewer Complaints About The Signal Strength
December 3, 2007
Which cell phone provider has the fewest complaints concerning signal strength? I have T-Mobile now and I am terribly dissatisfied with signal strength. Most of the time when I do have a signal, my conversations are spotty and break up. There are 4 “major” providers, T-Mobile ranks a far 4th in terms of coverage. My thoughts are that either the buildings in the city are blocking your signal or the area is saturated with users and T-Mobile either does not have enough towers and/or is not... Read more »
Video Phones That You Might Like
December 3, 2007
When you are recording video to the SLVR, are you specifying that it be stored to the removable SD card? This card contains 512Mbps of memory. The default setting for recording may be to phone’s memory, which is only 9Mbps and already contains things such as addresses and other information loaded into it already. Like with the address book, where you can specify to store to the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory (on GSM phones), the video storage location can be specified as well. I... Read more »
SIM Card Cellular Phones
December 3, 2007
What is a “SIM” card? Basically speaking, a SIM card is a small chip which almost always sits under the battery on the back of a SIM based mobile phone. It can store data such as network provider, telephone contacts, and tariffs. Every SIM based mobile needs one in order for the phone to work correctly. Could you tell me of any mobiles which allow dual SIM? For a straight forward answer: I dont think there is one on the market at the moment. I was wondering if Motorola L6 mobile accepts... How To Download Pictures And Information About Camera Phones
December 3, 2007
I’m not aware of any prepaid plans that offer an option through the plan to directly download pictures to your computer. I believe that your best bet would be to determine what phone would allow you to connect it to your computer via USB cable and has PC Suite, for example, and then use the phone’s software to download the pictures to your computer. For example, you can purchase a special USB cable for the Motorola Razr that will allow you to connect it to your computer. You can charge... Read more »
Bluetooth: The Need For Short-Range Communication
December 3, 2007
YES! Bluetooth is very much viable for the future to come. One of the prime reasons why forums are pushing the proposal for Bluetooth is that today there is the lack & the need for short-range communication over wireless medium - and mind you an efficient & stable connection that lasts. Comparing solutions available today - there is the infra red technology which does not have good bandwidth capability and also suffers from the problem of range line of sight problems. The next available... Read more »
Fewest Complaints About Signal Strengh
December 3, 2007
Of the four “major” providers, T-Mobile ranks a far 4th in terms of coverage. Since you have a phone (RAZR) that has a very good internal antenna, by design, my thoughts are that either the buildings in the city are blocking your signal or the area is saturated with users and T-Mobile either does not have enough towers and/or is not partnering with Cingular in your area to get you more coverage. Without that specific information, I can tell you that if you are in the city in the eastern... Read more »
Comparing The Nokia 3310 Phone To The Nokia 6630 Phone
December 3, 2007
In comparing the Nokia 3310 to the Nokia 6630, it appears that the 6630 Smartphone gives you several options as it relates to SMS messages, where the Nokia 3310 did not. With the Nokia 6630, it is my understanding that you need to define the Message Centers first, much like you set up addresses in your address book and then when a person you have in your address book calls you, their name is associated. In order to view the Message Centre of an SMS message, you first have to make sure that the Log... Read more »
Information About Nextel Direct Connect Service
December 3, 2007
Nextel Direct Connect/walkie-talkie service is a digital two-way radio built into every Nextel phone. I guess this is why Nextel will claim that any other unlocked phone will not work on their network. But this is not so. The a360 will work the only thing is that the direct connect feature will not work at all as it would not have been installed on your phone. All you should have to do is to change the SIM and the phone should lock unto their network (providing that the phone is unlocked to another... Read more »
