February 1, 2008

Just when you think you’ve got everything under control with your company picnic you realize - how are you going to entertain your guests!? Don’t fret too much - thinking up great company picnic games will probably be the most fun you have in your planning process. There are definitely a few must-haves when it comes to your office picnic, so pick some that work best for your company and get started!

There are plenty of popular company picnic games, but the dunk tank is probably one of the best. Especially when you turn it into a “Dunk Your Boss” game. Since the company picnic is one of the few places you get to treat your boss like a regular human being, most employees will jump at the opportunity!

If money is an issue, you may want to consider scrimping on some other areas and rearranging your budget a bit. Because lets face it, everyone wants a chance to soak their boss, so you might as well give the people what they want! It’s only one of the most popular company picnic games out there.

Of course a close second on the list of must-have company picnics games is any kind of team sport. Often times the whole point of a company event isn’t just to reward employees, but to also build camaraderie and a feeling of team work. What better way than a softball or volleyball game to get people working together - with just a hint of competition flavoring the fun!

Be sure not to forget about the kiddies! What list of company picnic games could be complete without a few thrown in for children. Besides, keep the kids happy and entertained, and you keep the parents happy! Great kids games include sack races and tug of war with prizes, as well as things like moon bounces or inflatable slides.

Water games are another must-have for your picnic - if the weather permits of course! Sprinklers, water gun fights, water balloon toss - they’re all great wet and wacky company picnic games to provide for your attendees. If your picnic gets caught in the middle of a heat wave, plenty of water activities will allow people to have a great time without fear of keeling over from heat!

If planning company picnic games just seems like too much work in conjunction with all the OTHER planning you must do, there’s one way to fix that - an amusement park. Simply choose to have your picnic at an amusement park where you can save money on large groups. Amusement parks have something for all ages and while you may miss out on some of the more fun aspects of planning something from scratch, do you REALLY think you’ll miss it that much? Yeah, we figured not!
