It is true that the considerations for outdoor weddings will be a bit different from indoor ones. Weather is the first thing you need to consider. Obviously, you will not plan a wedding in December if you want to have your wedding in northern Europe. It is just too cold. Of course it will be totally alright if you are planning to have it in the south hemisphere! Yet if you are catering for a “cold wedding” in winter, then you should make sure that you can prepare well for the cold weather. You should also advise your guests about the weather so that they can prepare for it as well.

You should also need to make sure that your wedding photographers are well informed. You should let them know the conditions of the venue as early as possible. Request them to bring alone with lighting equipment if necessary. In fact, taking outdoor wedding photos are full of fun, for both of the people who are being shot and the photographer. However, it is very important to prepare well for the light conditions since the essence of photography is lighting.

It is also very important for you to consider the transportation of the guests. Is there any parking space near your site? If not, you may need to advise your guest not to drive. You will also need to arrange some transportation for the guests. If this is the case, you will need to clearly tell your guests where they can be picked up otherwise your guests will miss your event.

When you are considering a site, it will be better if both outdoor and indoor spaces can be provided at the same time. You can have an easy contingency plan if it can be arrangement in this manner. You can have your wedding in the indoor space in case it rains or snows.
