Delray Beach is one of the most well-maintained and cleanest beaches in Florida. The city of Delray Beach is found in Palm Beach County, Florida. Popular beaches in Delray Beach are the the Atlantic Dunes Park and Delray Municipal Beach. The Clean Beaches Council certified Delray Beach as a Blue Wave Beach, because of its pristine cleanliness.Lifeguards and emergency medical personnel are always on hand in Delray Beach, especially on the busiest times of the day. Cleaning crew members are also around to keep the beaches neat and clean.
Since Florida is prone to thunder and lightning storms, the beach conditions may vary throughout the year. Its because of these safety precautions that the beaches may be closed at times. In order to warn people of the conditions of the sea currents, colored flags are flown on the beaches because there is also a possible danger of jellyfish, sea lice, and predatory fish.
Downtown Delray is the cultural, retail, recreational, and residential center of the city. It offers many activities for visitors and locals. The Delray Beach Tennis Center has been a host to a number of international tennis events.Atlantic Avenue is the best area for shopping and dining. Downtown Delray also has a few museums and galleries for those who want to get some culture. The American Orchid Society and the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens attract quite a number of visitors each year.
