Different Areas and Equipment in Bowling Centers

A bowling center is a place that has a number of bowling alleys for different bowling games. However, bowling centers may also have small restaurants and other entertainment such as billiards, foosball or air hockey tables, or arcade video games.
Every bowling center has several bowling alleys that are composed of 70 x 3.5 foot lanes. On each side of the lane, there are 60-foot gutters made usually out of rubber or plastic, as well as 60-foot borders that separate one lane from the next. At the end of the lane is the front wall that hides the bowling machine. The bowling machine is responsible for setting up the pins, as well as retrieving the ball then giving it back to the player. The ball passes through a tunnel and into a sorting machine on the player’s side. On that side, there is also the hand blower where players may have their hands dried if it gets sweaty.
Bowling centers usually have large halls since they contain numerous bowling alleys and lanes. There are no supporting beams to speak of since bowling requires that the player have a clear view on the lanes. Bowling centers are instead supported by its walls together with the beams at the back of the alleys, where the restaurants and other amenities are usually located.
The bowling alley would have many seats and tables for the players, spectators, and restaurant patrons. Restaurants in bowling centers can serve fast food, complete meals, snacks, and beverages. Some can even serve beer and cigarettes. In order to serve food and drinks, restaurants should have an equipped kitchen, a storage rooms and supplies.
Also considered to be a part of the alley is the area where the players sit while they wait for their turn. At the back of it is the area where spectators can watch the games or dine in one of the mini-restaurants. Restaurants in bowling centers are usually fast food, serving drinks, meals, and even beer.
The arcade video game area is usually for children or adolescents. It should be separated or enclosed, because the noise may disturb other people in the bowling center. There can be several arcade video machines in one room, ranging from toy games, shooting games, driving games, fighting games, and others.
Lastly, there is the reception area where the customers pay for their game, the rent for the shoes, as well as any other customer-related activities.
