Edible and Personalized Chocolate Wedding Favours
August 2, 2008
Often couples just cannot make a decision about what gifts to present to their guests and in this situation it always worth falling back on edible wedding favors. Wedding guests do not mind if the wedding favors are sweet or not. One of the most popular is a simple chocolate bar with a personalized wrapper.
And of course hand made or just fine quality chocolate will be received with greater enthusiasm than the regular type you might buy from the local store! Many people may eat the chocolate at the wedding but will probably keep any packaging that it comes in, as a souvenir.
Some brides and grooms may even decide to have their pictures on the wrapper along with their names and the wedding date. When candy bars are not an option, why not have the edible wedding favor candy in a tin instead! Guests are more likely to hold onto the tin as a keepsake if there is a reminder of where they were given it so placing the wedding details on the tin makes sense. You can guarantee your guests will take the tins away with them even if they are empty because not only will they be a reminder of the day but they are practical as well. Candy will probably remain a favorite edible wedding favor for some time because it is so popular.
By using a large glass bowl in the center of every table, the bride and groom can fill them with their own choices of candy for everyone to share. You can also leave a small presentation box with details of the wedding, and one that can even match the wedding theme if there is one. Then the guests can fill their containers with the candy before they leave the reception later. Cookies are other options for brides and grooms who want to give out edible wedding favors and there are a number of different options in this case. Undecorated cookies are best because they are supposed to go inside a decorated box which can have the wedding day details printed on it.
Current technology allows for a photo to be printed on the cookie so a couple could choose to do this as an alternative to a presentation box. Cookies can be baked in a variety of shapes so all that needs to be done is to supply a picture for them to imprint. Edible wedding favors can also come in the form of teas, coffees and cocoa for something a little more sophisticated. There are a number of specialty teas and coffees available which can then be packaged in something appropriate for the wedding. A picture and other wedding information can also be placed on the box or container because it adds that touch of individuality. If you have not found any of these suggestions appealing, there is no reason why you cannot come up with something that is completely unique for your guests!
