Getting the Most of your Asian Interior Design

If you are looking to overhaul an area or even your entire home with Asian interior design, there are many things that you will need to take into consideration. The most important of which is just how far it is that you want to go when doing this to your home or area. The good news is that there are many opportunities to explore here.
Asian interior design is something that many would consider simple and exotic. In many cases the first thing that they think of when they are considering doing this type of design to their home is to look at a Chinese restaurant. In many cases this may be a good starting point, however there is so much more that we need to see and understand in order to get a true feeling for this type of design and what is that you are trying to accomplish by doing this.
Perspective
This is an aspect of Asian interior design that takes a lot of thought and ingenuity. In many cases the perspective that is used in this type of design is brought on through room force. In western culture the perspective is primarily done through the use of mirrors. The Asian culture will raise and lower objects and move items around in order to alter the perceived perspective or to draw the attention to a different aspect of the room.
Gold Dragons
In many Asian designs there is a great deal of attention that is paid to the use of dragons as a centerpiece or the focal point of the design or artwork.. This is to some degree true; however the primary storytelling device or piece of influence is generally a mural. With this the designer is able to tell the story that they want to portray through art and color as well as with many beautiful pictures and designs. In many ways people who use this type of design are in essence Americanizing dragons in order to create a sense of Asian culture, but still keeping it what they consider to be contemporary.
Light
In many cases light plays an integral portion in interior design. Many times an Asian home is designed to allow natural light to flow through it directly and not use artificial or electric light. This creates the sense of nature and purity in the design as well as peace.
