Girly MySpace layouts have always been a popular type of profile design since the creation of MySpace. After all, the majority of MySpace users are commonly female- so it comes as know surprise that profiles would follow suit. But designing a girly profile isn’t as easy as one would think, and there is much to consider in the design process to make a truly unique design.
Even though it is commonly thought that many colors need to be girly to make a proper girly layout, there are many that use different hues and tones to make some colors more girly in effect. Blue, green, and even black can be used in girly layouts if the proper contrast is observed. And since there are so many different shades and colors to choose from, the possibilities are nearly limitless. This proves that the average girly MySpace layout doesn’t always need to be the common pink and purple.
Next up for girly design practice is the different shapes to be used. Girly MySpace designs commonly use rounded corners, circles, and other “fluid” shapes. It is common to see vector graphics as well, such as the case with many stars and leaves that many girly profiles have. Ribbons and stripes are also quite popular among the girly MySpace profile community, and they also pertain to the “fluid” layout most observe.
Nothing says girly like the glitter and glamorous graphics that can be added to profile designs. It’s also worthy to note that images can be edited to be more girly in effect, thanks to advances in technology.
In addition to the different images obtained from generators, there are graphics of popular celebrities and bands that are commonly seen on girly MySpace profiles. Such subjects are popular and easy as doing an Internet search to find- and a simple copy and paste afterwards for complete implementation.
Often times it isn’t so much as what a profile can do to maintain a girly atmosphere, but how the user fills up the profile. This means that developers and designers should allow for some expansion on their design by allowing for enough content space and color design for the user to decide on images and text. This also allows for MySpace users to express themselves further than just a snazzy girly profile, and allows for much more creativity in effect.

So many options in girly MySpace layouts exist, but the aforementioned topics will create the most popular of girly MySpace designs. Different types of contrasts and hues of different colors can make many different possibilities in girly MySpace profiles. Just try to keep in mind that even the best designs aren’t very practical if they don’t allow the user to have a legible layout- regardless of effort poured into the project.
