So you want to create an E-Book?

May 22, 2008

One of the easiest things to get started on with internet marketing is e-books If you just read the following ‘pointers’ you can be up and running compiling your own in no time. Of course if you aren’t a very accomplished writer you may want to employ someone to do the writing for you or just help out with other material.

Once you’ve decided on a topic for your E-Book, and have done research to ensure that people are looking for and buying information on this topic, write a series of articles. Why not start by writing a range of articles which will not only help you with your writing practice but they can be used to get interest in the book you are compiling. Post several articles on various websites, as well as on the article directories and the number of views your articles receive will show you what potential your book has for making sales.

Once this is complete you can start writing the content of the e-book and work out how you want it to look. You book should be in three to four sections and will contain an introduction, the main body of the material, a closing chapter and possibly some additional material too. Consider writing several more articles as a bonus because adding this as a bonus will enhance your sales.

Normally authors will write an article and then insert it into their e-book as this gives them an idea of how it will look when it is completed. There is less room for error with e-books and no room for unnecessary information to clutter them so don’t make it longer than about 50 to 60 pages. If you stay close to the subject it will be easier for readers because computer screens are not the best medium for reading on.

If you want to give further value to your e-book then why not research some additional information which you can add as a bonus. This is not too difficult if you already have this extra information in the form The bonus material should really have a value all of its own and be directly related to the topic of the e-book.
