Buying a wedding dress has it’s issues and every future bride has an opinion to express about them but have you contemplated designing your own wedding dress? An initial view from most brides would be to dismiss this out of hand especially if they have had no previous experience in this area.

A quick and easy way to do this is to take your designer with you and go visit a number of different bridal retailers. Spend some time trying on dresses of different designs and styles and let your designer provide some feedback as to what he or she thinks suits you and which do not. This will then generate some ideas for you to work on.

You are now at a point whereby you have some ideas as to the style that you want. The next stage is color. After this has been decided your designer will then take some detailed measurements and have you fitted for the dress so work can start on it.

One of the biggest advantages that you gain when you design your own wedding dress is that you are able to communicate with the creator of the dress every step of the way and you get to actually watch the dress being built, so if at any point there is something that you are not completely satisfied with, you are able to make the appropriate changes.

The dress should also have the benefit of being a perfect fit for your body as it is a custom made outfit.
