To Get Your Ex Back Be Honest With Yourself

Honesty is essential when you are trying to repair a broken relationship. You have to be honest with your ex, but most of all you have to make sure you are not deceiving yourself.

Think about why you are so desperate to get your ex back. Because for many people getting their ex back is not a matter of love, it’s a matter of jealousy. It’s the green monster.

To be successful in renewing your relationship it has to be about more than just you. Getting back together has to be right for both of you and not just because you can’t handle seeing your ex with a new boyfriend or girlfriend.

It can sometimes be difficult to separate love from jealousy in our minds. But think hard about this because if it is really jealousy that is driving you then you are putting yourself, and probably your ex, through a lot of misery and pain for nothing and you’ll almost certainly fail in the end anyway.

Now if you have worked out that your reasons for wanting your ex back are good ones, that you really believe restarting your relationship is in the best interests of you and your ex you have another bit of honest pondering to do.

Think about why the relationship broke up in the first place. And be honest with yourself. This is no time to play the blame game.

Be ready and willing to accept the blame for the ending of your relationship.

In fact, the more you are to blame for the break up the better chance you have of getting your ex back.

How can that be you say?

If you were perfect and your ex was wholly responsible for the break up then there is nothing you can change that will get him or her back. Don’t start thinking you can make your ex change, because you can’t.

If the break up was your fault though, then you have the opportunity to make changes to yourself that may help you to renew the relationship.

So take heart and be brave. Look at yourself and your relationship with your ex in hard, honest light and you will be giving yourself the best possible chance of getting your ex back.
