Your Hoodia Diet Pills Didn’t Work?
April 3, 2008
If your hoodia diet pills aren’t working, they probably aren’t authentic hoodia gordonii capsules. After taking a product with the hoodia label and finding it ineffective, many people wrongfully assume that hoodia just doesn’t work. The truth is it does work for the majority of people; the problem is with the manufacturers. They are fooling consumers into thinking they are purchasing the real deal, when they are really purchasing a fake.
All hoodia capsules are not the same! If you have purchased the least expensive hoodia available, you probably wasted your money. Authentic hoodia gordonii is not cheap. The plant is found primarily in South Africa but is Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and in some parts of the U.S. Many of the hoodia supplements you will find on store shelves don’t come from these countries. Also, there are 13 varieties of the plant, but only the hoodia gordonii variety has the appetite suppressing qualities that you are looking for. If the label doesn’t clearly say “hoodia gordonii” on it, you are most likely looking at a product that is made from another variety of hoodia.
You should also know that to cut costs, many companies add parts of the hoodia plant to their products that are not proven to suppress appetite. Only the aerial stems of the plant contain P57, the active molecule that suppresses appetite. Those products that use the entire plant (not just the aerial stems) probably don’t have enough P57 in it to be effective. Avoid those supplements that use the entire plant and stick with those that only use the aerial stems.
Some people will need several hundred milligrams of hoodia per day in order for it to work. Hoodia supplements should contain a minimum of 400mg of hoodia gordonii in each pill or capsule. There are some high end hoodia gordonii capsules that have as much as 750mg per capsule. Some of the supplements sold today contain as little as 25 or 50mg per capsule. To get a proper dose of hoodia gordonii per day, a person would have to take several capsules of these inferior products that don’t contain enough hoodia.
An easy way to tell whether a hoodia product is authentic is that it will say that it is lab verified to contain authentic hoodia gordonii. It goes without saying that these products will cost more than the counterfeits. The best way to determine if a product is lab tested is to visit the website of the company selling the product. If they don’t have any lab results posted on their website, there is a chance the product could be a fake.
Finally, the amount of time you allow hoodia diet pills to work will determine its effectiveness. It can take up to two weeks for authentic hoodia gordonii to work. Allow your body time to acclimate to it before you write it off. Authentic hoodia gordonii should kick in within two weeks, so don’t give up before you reach your break through! As stated, hoodia gordonii doesn’t work for everyone. If you are taking 100% authentic hoodia gordonii at potent doses and you haven’t responded by the end of the second week, you are probably in the minority of individuals whose bodies do not respond to hoodia. If this is you, no matter what brand or dose you take, it simply won’t work.
Now that you have the information you need about hoodia gordonii, it should answer some questions as to why the hoodia you were taking probably didn’t work! Don’t feel bad if you were fooled by a fake. Now that you are equipped and educated, you can wisely shop for authentic hoodia gordonii and avoid the scams.
